Wine clubs are rated on four criteria, each out of 5:
- Value: the regular price per bottle including shipping, not just the intro deal.
- Wine quality: editor tastings where available, member reviews and critic coverage.
- Choice & personalization: how much say you have over what arrives.
- Flexibility: how easy it is to skip, swap and cancel.
The overall score is the average. We re-check each club’s published prices and terms regularly; the date is shown on every review. Prices change often, so always confirm on the club’s site.
Pairings and wine profiles are based on long-established principles of food and wine pairing and on standard descriptions of each grape and region. Body, sweetness, acidity and tannin scores (1-5) describe typical examples: individual bottles vary.
